Let your kingdom come / Let your will be done, Lord
I don't wanna run / from your love makes me stronger
Lifted from Matthew 6:10, but the hook adds a confession of previous running the original prayer doesn't state outright. The admission makes the surrender active, not passive.
Your name's hallowed, You the one I follow
Matthew 6:9 — hallowed be thy name — restated as personal allegiance rather than liturgy.
Give my life today cause I ain't promised tomorrow
James 4:14 — life is a mist. The simplest theological line on the track, and one of the most honest.
My sorrows and tribulations be playing over inside my head
But I ain't stressed cause I'm thankful for my daily bread
Matthew 6:11 — daily bread as present-tense provision, set directly against past-tense pain replaying in his head.
When you lead me, devil never came near me
Matthew 6:13 — lead us not into temptation. Being led and being safe are the same event here, not two separate requests.
Never been given a spirit of fear he can't scare me
2 Timothy 1:7, nearly verbatim — God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
Temptation, all the manipulation, but I am grateful that I've been consecrated
The pressure is named specifically (temptation, manipulation) before the response — gratitude for a status already granted, not one being fought for.
Debts been paid off / The demons been lost
Colossians 2:14 — the debt cancelled at the cross, the record of sin nailed to it.
Ever since the cross, adversary laid off
Colossians 2:15 — having disarmed the powers, God made a public spectacle of them. The debt and the disarming are two separate claims, both located at the same cross.
Now I've seen deliverance / God has forgiven us
Two doctrines in two bars: deliverance and forgiveness, stated as things already witnessed, not hoped for.
Jesus Christ has risen up / Holy Spirit live in us
The other two doctrines: resurrection and the indwelling Spirit. Four doctrines across four bars, the entire gospel compressed without losing any of it.
The old Me been made new, it's all you
Romans 6:6 and 2 Corinthians 5:17 — the old self crucified, all things made new. Credited entirely to God, not framed as self-improvement.
Even when I ran from the truth, You stayed true
2 Timothy 2:13 — if we are faithless, He remains faithful. God's consistency held against human inconsistency, in six words.
Now I walk in the purpose, walk in His calling
Kingdom doors open, praise God I'm all in
The title phrase resolves the song — the kingdom that was asked to come in the hook is now the thing being walked into, doors already open.
